My thoughts on the PSN crisis

Posted by Webmaster on May 11, 2011 at 9:37 PM Comments comments (0)

So as you may know PSN was attacked a few weeks ago, most likely by a few xbox fanboys that had a lot of free time on their hands. They had to have been wasting hours upon hours struggling to find that way into the network. Kids don't just decide to hack a billion dollar company. This was planned, and probably took a lot of time.

Yes I am exaggerating when I say kids, I more-so mean adults with the maturity of kids. I mean seriously? Hack a game system? That time could be spent finding jobs and actually make some money off of their obviously advanced skillz. I simply don't see why they would even want to do this? They didn't think that Sony would catch them? It's not like their hacking a youtube channel! Even so, I hope they get caught and get their asses handed to them. ELECTRIC CHAIR!

Moving onto a more serious note, PSN has been kindly updating their twitter and leaving us blog posts on the subject. They have been noting several times of the "PSN re-launch time" but they have all been false so-far. Sony claims they are now entering the process of testing the servers to make sure of their security, so they don't get any nerdy 10 yr-olds cheating the system anymore. I expect the servers will be up most-likely this weekend, but next week at the latest. They also claim they are upgrading the system to a great extent, and are saying it will be miles more secure. I seriously hope this is true, so we don't have to deal with all the hackers/game-breakers anymore. I'd like to play COD 4 in peace for once.

I'm telling all you PSN fans to hope for this weekend, but I cannot guarantee anything just yet. It sucks because I really wanted to play Brink, or COD, or ANYTHING!

Please leave a comment below telling me what you think about this crisis.

Hey guys! So you have probably noticed that the site has been out of use for the past months. I felt like it was way too bland, and didn't have enough reason for you to enjoy it!

So I decided to give it an update! It has been visually enhanced as well as physically enhanced.

A brand new Forum has been added for you to discuss gaming, technology, and even post pictures! Knight and Day Movie Review

Posted by Webmaster on August 12, 2010 at 4:07 PM Comments comments (0)

Hey guys I saw the movie Knight and Day and though I would post a little non-professional review of it. I got to the movie maybe 10 minutes late but a couple minutes later and I pretty much already knew what was going on. At the beginning of the movie its just that sense of "What the hell? lmao!" as a completely innocent woman accidentally gets on a plane with a crazy jacked up secret agent of some sort who kills everyone on board, lands the plane, drugs the woman, and the next thing she remembers she wakes up in her bed at home. Now shes obviously terrified and confused, and as the rest of the movie plays out, the crazy guy, Roy, keeps running into her and dragging her along with him on his completely wacko journey. As you reach the middle of the movie the plot starts to unfold and things get serious, but you still get that sense of randomness which just keeps you laughing like crazy. I think its a great movie and is just hilarious, you have to see it. I give it an

Flip Ultra HD Review

Posted by Webmaster on February 20, 2010 at 2:32 PM Comments comments (0)

Hey guys and welcome to finally another blog post! Today I'm going to review my Flip Ultra HD handheld video camera. It sells for $199.99 here on the official flip website. I am going to go over Video Quality, Sound Quality, Build Quality, Cosmetics, and Ease of Use/Portability.

Video Quality

This Camera shoots in 720p, and has a built-in HDMI port for enjoying on your HD TV. Unfortunately it doesn't come with the HDMI cable, but you can buy it separately here. This camera does not include any auto stabilization features, but if you hold it steady or use it on a tripod, it will work just fine. Focusing on really close objects can sort of be tough, but at a distance of a foot or two, anything looks amazing. If you want to see our HD quality test of the Flip Ultra HD, click here

Sound Quality

The microphone built-in to this camera delivers awesome sound quality. If you want to experience the sound quality of this camera, just go to our youtube channel and look at a video taken by the flip. All of our recent videos with a camera are taken with the Ultra HD.

Build Quality

This camera is built strong, and since it has a matte finish, it doesn't collect very many fingerprints or scratches. There is chrome on the side of the camera, which many people complain about, which is unfortunately a fingerprint/scratch magnet. These scratches don't affect the usability of the camera at all though. Nothing on the camera has broken and the usb jack still works like its brand new.  This camera is really durable for such a small device.

Cosmetics

We all want our devices to work good, but look nice too. The whole line of Flip cameras look nice, especially the Flip Ultra HD. The chrome finish on the side, the simplistic design, and the nice screen come together to create an absolutely smexy camera.

Ease of Use/Portability

Probably the two main reasons people are attracted to the flip cameras are Ease of Use, and Portability. The Flip Ultra HD is extremely easy to use with only eight buttons. Any person not totally integrated with tech yet can easily figure out how to record, and import videos from the Flip Ultra HD onto the computer. This camera comes with easy to use software which you can use to import and organize videos on the computer. The line of Flip cameras are all extremely portable and who doesn't want to carry around an HD camera in their pocket? The Flip Ultra HD easily fits in your pocket and weighs barely anything!

Conclusion

The Flip Ultra HD is the camera to get now days, and its highly recommended for anyone who's not that familiar with technology. Its only competitor is the Flip Mino HD, which is a tiny bit smaller and arguably looks slightly better. The Flip Ultra HD fights back with a easier to use battery pack, twice the memory, a bigger screen size, slightly better video quality, and even a lower price! The Flip Ultra HD is obviously the way to go when it comes to small easy to use compact cheap cameras, and I rate it *****

Apple Tablet: Predictions

Posted by Webmaster on December 30, 2009 at 12:30 AM Comments comments (0)

There have been rumors about an Apple product called the iSlate, Apple Tablet, iTablet, Whatever they call it, that has been a rumor for quite a while. These are going to be some predictions about this product. It is predicted that it will be 7 to 10 inches, its going to be a touch screen, it will have a modified version of Snow Leopard or a modified version of the iPhone OS. As far as outer look, it should look like a larger iPhone with a built in iSight. The price should be 500 to 1,000 dollars, most likely $700.  This product should come out some time in 2010, and will hopefully be a good device that works well.

Combat Arms Review

Posted by Webmaster on December 24, 2009 at 11:26 PM Comments comments (1)

Combat Arms is a FPS ( Firs Person Shooter ) game for the PC created by Nexon. Combat Arms is a great game for the PC, and has amazing graphics. This game has many weapons, characters,  maps, and game modes to choose from. Each map can only play certain game modes, some only have one, 2 or more. Almost every holiday they update the game. They recently added a new map called Cabin Fever where you can play a mode called Fireteam, it is very similar to Call of Duty: World at War's Nazi Zombies. Basically you and the other people you are playing with shoot zombies while you are in a cabin. There are 15 rounds, it seems that people always die on round 12( There is a video on our channel of this ). When you want to get a new weapon, you need to play games so you can make money for the weapon. You can purchase the item for 1 day, 7 days which is more money, and even 30 days which also costs more money. If you really like this game you can purchase NX credits which gives more of a variety of weapons, characters, power-ups, and more. You can also customize your character by giving it different types of camo, face wear, hats, backpacks and more. Also when you buy NX you can make your character a ninja. There is no campaign mode in this game but when you play Fireteam on the map Desert Thunder it is a lot like a campaign mode. DID I MENTION IT'S FREE!?!?! Overall I think this is an amazing game for the PC, and I recommend this game...Unless you don't like FPS games.

Modern Warfare 2 Review

Posted by Webmaster on December 24, 2009 at 9:43 PM Comments comments (2)

Modern Warfare 2 is a new Call of Duty game by Infinity Ward developed for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. This game had the hype for months before its release, and now has sold thousands of copies. It's story starts you off after Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfares ended. It is a very thrilling experience in single player, takes about 8 hours of normal gameplay to finish. You ride snow-mobiles, ride choppers, drown people, knife people, and of course shoot people. At the end of the game you are presented with a museum game mode, where you press a button and all the people from the museum come to life and attack you. These are all the people that you encounter during the game, such as Ghost, or Captain Mactavish.

The thrill doesn't end after campaign mode though, you will then be bum-rushed into online multi-player mode where you can play numerous game types with people from around the world. This isn't new to Call of Duty, but there are many new features to this such as more weapons, such as the Intervention Sniper, the Tar-21 assault rifle, or the AA-12 fully automatic shotgun. It also has many new perks, such as Ninja, Coldblooded, and Scavenger. Each weapon can now have many new attachments such as the Heartbeat Sensor, Thermal Scope, Holographic Sight, Full Metal Jacket, and Shotgun. The maps in multi-player are really big, thought out, and easy to learn such as Terminal, an Airport, Highrise, 2 big buildings and many little buildings in the middle to run through, and Derail, a snowy big map with a couple buildings to snipe out of. Most of the maps are bigger than the ones from Call of Duty 4, similar to Call of Duty 5, which makes it good for snipers, and unfortunately campers. I have to admit there are a few more campers in this game than cod 4, but not too many to get upset about. Modern Warfare 2 also delivers a new feature which kind of replaces Nazi Zombies called Special Ops. It offers many missions you can do solo, or with a partner from splitscreen, or over the internet. In the end, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 gives you an awesome thrilling experience, and you will be playing it for a long time. If you are not into 1st person shooters, than I don't recommend this though. This game is usually around $60 but I say that this is an ok price for a game like this. I give this game a 9.8/10.
